Sorry you had problems installing, perhaps the trial version isn't set up as well as the paid for version. The $79.99 normal price may have changed my mind. For $29.99 and for someone that has a lot of their products I don't think you can go wrong. I then downloaded it on my Laptop and entered my email address when prompted and all went as smooth as any install I have made. I downloaded it today, installed, registered and away i went, no problems. It will take some time to really understand it all but that is the way it always is. I liked what I saw in the Webinar a couple weeks ago, several options besides the ability to use all your Topaz plugins within one window. I hope other forum members here can give feedback on the photoFXlab™ InstaTone™, if it is worth the price.hopefully before the special price expires. I wonder if InstaTone™ (the only real use you can get from photoFXlab™ if you don't buy their other plugins) is worth US$29.99.soon to go up to the regular price of US$79.99. Since you have to buy the Topaz plugins to be able to use them (the complete plugin bundle costs US$299.99), I am not willing to pay for a hub for the Topaz plugins. (3) is a marketing tool to let you preview their other plugins. (2) copies tone curves from another image (InstaTone™) I had a hard time figuring out exactly what this software was for. Either way, it's a piece of software they should give away for free. If I had purchased their bundle of plugins it might be OK. I only have two of Topaz's plugins, and this module seems to me to be more of a marketing ploy, as you get previews of all the plugins, but only can use the ones you own. Seems like a very liberal policy, and probably in response to people abusing Topaz' earlier activation scheme by passing around serial numbers. And then if you go 'over' that limit, it will uninstall it from the first registered." You are able to put this on 3 PCS and 3 MACS, so that is up to 6 computers. After that initial registration you should be able to enter in your email address to the program, and it will recognize you as a current user. In response to my inquiry, Topaz said, "You will need internet access to initially register your computer. If not connected, you must re-enter your "account" information to use the program or plug-in. When you run the program thereafter, if connected, the application checks Topaz' server to validate registration. Instead of getting a serial number to activate the program, you must create an "account" and register your newly-installed copy over the internet. Topaz has also initiated a new registration scheme. Otherwise, I like the concept and the layout, as I have all of Topaz' plug-ins, and it's sometimes time consuming to apply more than one to an image. On my XP 32-bit box, it crashes (standalone and plug-in) when I click the "preview my picture button", and when I try to select an external image for Instatone. Seems to have a few wrinkles that need to be sorted out, but I have confidence that Topaz will get it shipshape.
